FOR THE LOVE OF MUSIC

My name is Nuno Ferreira, also known as Soviet, nickname that came up in high school. This was the inspiration for the original music project I conceived. I was born in Vila Nova de Gaia on January 9, 1976 and started playing guitar, in a self-taught way, at the age of six. Music is already a family tradition. My paternal grandfather was known by the villages of Barcelos as an animator of the defoliated minhotas accompanied by his accordion, all in the mid-30s and 40s. My father inherited this passion and is still invited today to play liturgical organ in Eucharistic celebrations of various parishes. It was precisely with my father that I began my musical career, studying piano and solfejo in the first years of my life. Later, I joined a group of friends and formed a heavy metal band - "Nephrit". I evolved as a musician, we compose our first themes and played live for the first time. After the separation of the band and always in a self-taught way, I started to write the songs solo, I learned to play other instruments and work with stereos, which helped me in this process. I was a sound technician for GNR and collaborated as guitarist on fingertips' first album. In 2016, I released the first album of music, entitled "Signs", a small edition of author and that is available to all interested parties. On this album appear songs such as "The Call from Within", "Unspeakable Miracles", "Serenity", "Wit Script", "Garden of Shadows", "Left Behind", among others that reflect my personal experiences, a warning to the hidden problems that often go unnoticed. The album also addresses the theme of misunderstood loves included in the songs "Super Love", "A Song for Susie", "Enigma do Amor" and "Forbidden Thoughts" and has the special participation of two singers: Stonaka and Sofia Pinto. I'm a musician and I owe it to the public. When I first performed live, a deep stir was produced in me. I felt there was an irresistible connection there. The only way to achieve all this interaction is to present the public with great performance. When we get it, the listeners reciprocate with their applause. It's like an exchange of gifts. And isn't it an amazing gift to give and receive? It's like we're sharing a private and intimate moment with just them. Unique moments, no one else exists, music and those who listen to it!
